Base and Meridian (B&M) Wildlife Area

The B & M Wildlife Area project began in 1973 and was spread over 200 acres of river and adjacent confluence of the Salt River and the Gila River. This area was acquired by the Arizona Game and Fish Commission. The park is located almost 17 miles to the west of Phoenix area. The acquisition of the park was possible with the aid of County, State and the federal agencies. This area has riparian vegetation like willow, salt cedar, desert broom and also many other herbaceous and wood species.
