Camp Verde: Attractions and more...
Verde River
Verde River can be described as the northwestern and north watershed of ‘Salt River-Verde River Watershed’ that join together and enter Gila River located at Phoenix, Arizona. Kayaks and floating rafts can be mentioned as one of the most popular pastimes on Verde as it happens to have run through Mazatzal Wilderness and scenic valleys. These facilities have been maintained by none other than ‘Tonto National Forest’ Authority.
Montezuma’s Well
Montezuma’s Well can be made a mention of as a sinkhole; i.e. a collapsed ‘underground cavern consisting of limestone’; which is full of water. Around a million gallons (of water) flow on a continual level, having provided a verdant, lush oasis amidst the desert grassland that surrounds it. The depth of this well is 55 feet; with an elevation of around 3618 feet.
