Guadalupe can be described as a town located in county of Maricopa, Arizona, US.
Guadalupe has been nestled between Tempe and Phoenix. Since its establishment, it has obtained the reputation of being center of ‘Yaqui’ culture. Moreover, several religious festivals are celebrated over here. Photography is, by all means, forbidden; still visitors can attend these ceremonies.
Guadalupe was established sometime around 1900; which can be attributed to Yaqui Indians. They were the ones who left homeland of theirs in Sonora for averting oppression by the then Mexican government. This city is, in actual sense, a residential region. Majority of residents go on to commute to Phoenix region for working.
As per US Census Bureau, total area of Guadalupe is 2.0 sq. Km (all land).
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Guadalupe was 5228; with its density being 2621.5 per sq. Km.
