Tourist Guide Kingman

The city of Kingman is the county seat of Mohave County and is located in northwest Arizona in USA. Spread over an area of 77.6 sq km, it is situated in the scenic Hualapai Valley between the Cerbat and Hualapai Mountain ranges.

At an elevation of 3,300 feet above sea level, the city experiences some of the hotter summer temperatures and a very mild winter. The average temperature in Kingston ranges from 23°C to 9°C.

The city was established by Lewis Kingman as a small railroad camp for the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad. The city is famous for having the longest preserved stretch of the Historic Route 66.  The areas around the Kingman and Colorado Rivers and several deserted towns offer a glimpse into the city’s history.

With a population of around 30,000, the city has developed into a residential and commercial centre.
