Nogales can be described as a city located in county of Santa Cruz, Arizona, US.
Nogales goes on to border city of ‘Nogales, Sonora, Mexico’. Moreover, it’s the biggest ‘international border town’ of Arizona. Interstate 19’s southern terminus lies in Nogales, towards border of US-Mexico. As such, highway happens to extend till south in to Mexico in the form of ‘Mexico Federal Highway 15’.
Known as ‘Nowa’ in O’odham, the above-mentioned name means ‘walnuts’ in Spanish.
Nogales is said to have a steppe semi-arid climate. In the month of January, usual high temperature has been recorded to be 60 degree F. In the month of July, usual high temperature has been reported to be 96 degree F. Yearly precipitation has been found to be 18 inches.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Nogales had been 20878; with its density being 387 per sq. Km. Around 33.9%2525 of total population was found to be below poverty line.
