Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport is situated to the east of Phoenix city in Maricopa County in Arizona. It is the largest aviation facility in south west America and Arizona’s main international airport.
It is the 9th busiest airport in the US and handled more than forty one million passengers in 2007.
The airport has been named the state’s 2008 Airport of the Year by the Aeronautics Division of the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The airport has 121 gates and 3 terminals which provide free wireless internet access.
The terminals have a number of shops and restaurants and a museum as well as a hospitality room for military and veterans.
The various airlines operating from here include Southwest airlines, British airways, US airways, American airlines, Midwest airlines, Hawaiian airlines, Alaska airlines, Continental airlines, Air Canada and more.
