Best Period to Go:  The best time to go is 1954, the late spring. This way you can avoid icy roads (interstates haven't been built yet). Driving through the salt river canyon is dirt road, wide enough for the passing of 2 vechiles to be a back up event, usually the experienced truck driver, cause Mama said, out the drivers window, of the brand new 55 chevy 2-door. white and tourquoise, with white walls," I can't back up as good as you! Not a manipulation, she new her limits. I always enjoyed the humility of embarressment lessons sitting at a 4-top in a white linen dining room, if the waiter / waitress was poor ... More but polite, they were safe. Hostile and rude, she'd get the pitcher of water or was that me standing quickly in the line of fire. I digress.........

The Desert Botanical Garden displays thousands of plant species related to the arid landscape. Admirers of desert flora should visit this garden during March and April, which is when the flowers are in bloom.
The Heard Museum is a learner’s haven as it provides interesting insights to the tribe’s history and culture through several exhibits.
The Guild Indian Fair and Market is an event ... More that visitors can look forward to; they can browse through the arts and crafts as well as taste cuisine. The Arizona State Fair and the Phoenix Rodeo of Rodeos are some of the popular events that take place in Phoenix.
