The Heard Museum is situated in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 1929 by Dwight B and Maie Bartlett Heard, this museum houses their personal art collections.
Most of the archaeological materials are from La Ciudad Indian rule that the family purchased in 1926. Presently, the museum houses more than 40,000 items including a library and archives of more than 34,000 volumes.
Spread in 130,000 square feet of classroom, gallery and performance space, the place is worth of a visit.
