The Pueblo Grand Museum and Cultural Park in Phoenix is sponsored by a local non-profit organization that help’s conserve Arizona’s history and preserve the state’s prehistoric resources. A piece of native history in the big city, it gives both tourists and local residents a unique opportunity to learn about the state’s prehistoric and historic cultures.
The museum features three galleries, a theater, and a trail that contains prehistoric ruins of the platform mound and ballcourt of the Hohokam culture, replicated housing, canal systems and an interpretive agricultural garden. New exhibits also open a few times a year in the changing gallery.
The Pueblo Grand Museum is located on East Washington Street in Phoenix and is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 4:45pm and Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:45pm. Admission rates are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for children ages 6-17. Children 5 and under are free. For more information, call (602) 495-0900.
