If you are looking for more than just hitting a local hiking trail, there are plenty of extreme sports opportunities in the Phoenix area. Phoenix and the surrounding areas have you need, whether it’s rock climbing, desert tours, helicopter rides, and more.
Those looking for a driving tour can do so through the Grand Canyon via Sedona and the Navajo Reservation. For about $144, the tour is about 13 hours long, with a 17-mile scenic drive through Oak Creek Canyon. If you are looking for a little bit more adventure, there’s also the Grand Canyon Rim Adventure and Skywalk for the adventurous at heart (just don’t look down). Tour prices start at approximately $700 at last about seven hours long.
For those wanting to try something a little less risky, there are helicopter adventure and hot air balloon rides, a two-day Grand Canyon Tour from Phoenix, or an Apache Trail and Canyon Lake Steamboat Cruise.
