The Arizona State Fairground’s history spans over three centuries. First established over 126 years ago, it was a center that brought local residents together to show their best livestock, share their agricultural accomplishments and have a little fun. Nowadays, the fairground is a popular entertainment venue with live concerts, exhibitions, and seasonal fairs coming to the area.
The fairground’s main event is the annual Arizona State Fair, which was first held in 1884 and is a state tradition that offers different tradeshows, events, and entertainment. The fair typically has around 75 carnival rides, 110 food booths and 200 commercial sales booths. The Arizona State Fair is one of the top 4 state fairs in the United States with well over a million visitors every year.
The Arizona State Fairground is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. For more information, events, and tours, contact (602) 252-6771.
