South Mountain Park is the largest city park in the United States and covers 17,000 acres of land. It is also one of the largest urban parks in North America and in the world.

This is a desert mountain preserve and a part of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve system. Here, one can enjoy barbecues, picnics and parties, go for mountain biking or hiking, opt for trail rides or even go for a scenic drive.

This park has been designated as a Phoenix Point of Pride.
