When it comes to finding the best neighborhood in town, it all comes down to location, location, location. Located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, the Garfield neighborhood is the oldest intact neighborhood in the area with a rich history and bargain real estate still available. It’s the only neighborhood in town where property finders can still get their hands on a 1910-era home with Historic Preservation and Neighborhood Initiative Area (NIA) finds that help rehabilitate and restore the historic character of the area.
The neighborhood is within walking distance of Phoenix’s Bank One Ballpark, the ASU Downtown Campus, the new T-Gen Genetic research facility and the upcoming Light Rail facilities. Perfect for an afternoon stroll, the neighborhood is located between 7th and 16th Streets and from the Van Buren Street to Interstate-10 in the downtown area.
