Tourist Guide Prescott
Prescott is located in Yavapai County in Arizona, USA. This city has a population of almost 40,000 and is spread over an area of around 97 sq km. Founded in 1863, Prescott was incorporated as a city in the year 1883. Initially, cattle ranching and mining were important commercial activities. However, now the major contributors to the economy of Prescott are the service sector and the tourism industry.
Prescott enjoys four distinct seasons in a year. This city experiences mild weather all through the year, but it is prone to thunderstorms during monsoons and occasionally there is heavy snowfall.
The terrain of the city which is mainly mountainous with lots of dense vegetation attracts a large number of tourists year after year. The city is a popular tourist destination as it has picturesque scenic beauty and is home to almost 600 sites that have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
