Patagonia Lake State Park

Patagonia Lake is known for a wide spectrum of leisurely activities. They include fishing, water skiing, picnicking, camping, and hiking. Having created by ‘damming’ of ‘Sonoita Creek’, Patagonia Lake has been developed as a habitat for crappie, bass, catfish, and bluegill. Moreover, it’s stocked with a thing called ‘rainbow trout’ at the time of winter. Park conveniences are inclusive of picnic ramdas, marina store (with boat rentals), and a ‘swimming beach’.
Entry to Patagonia Lake is permitted between 4:00 and 23:00.

Madera Canyon

Madera Canyon, owing to its simple trail access, picnic areas, and campgrounds has become an excellent tourist center. It can boast of a lengthy and varied history which can be learnt from a booklet created by Madera Canyon’s friends. The higher elevation, i.e. location on the north western side of Santa Rita Mountains would mean that cooler temperatures would be experienced during summer and snow during winter.
