Scottsdale Airport came in to being on 22nd of June, 1942 in the form of Thunderbird Field II, i.e. a training facility with regards to Second World War ‘Army Air Corps Pilots’. Since then, around 5500 students have graduated from Thunderbird II. All through Second World War, Thunderbird II trained loads of people. Revenue generated by Scottsdale Airport has helped a great deal in development of the city.
