The Slide Rock State Park is a forty-three acre historical apple farm located in Oak Creek Canyon. The park was originally the homestead of Frank L Pendley who succeeded in establishing harnessed water from Oak Creek to plant apple orchards.This park includes more number of hiking trails. Slide Rock is a favorite swimming spot of the Arizona desert. It becomes a natural water chute as swimmers slide down the slick.
