Sonoita is a census designated place which is situated in Santa Cruz County in Arizona.  The name of Sonoita is O’odham Son ‘Oidag, which means spring field. For many years, Sonoita has been a famous place for the wealthy Arizonans for establishing vacation and retirement houses and ranches. At present, this CDP is having a significant growth.

As per the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 45.6 square miles of land.

The population of this CDP was 826 as per the 2000 census. As per the 2009 estimates, the population reached 926 people. And so, since 2000, it has had a population growth of 8.47 percent.
