Tourist Guide Supai

Supai is a census designated place and is situated in Coconino County in Arizona. It is the capital of the Havasupai Indian Reservation and is presently the only community which is situated in United States. The only way to reach here is by hiking, riding a mule or by helicopter.

As Supai is situated at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, it is accessible by foot and pack animal. As per the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.7 square miles, which is almost 4.5 square kilometers of land. It is 3,195 feet above the sea level.

As per the 1990 census, the population of this CDP was 423.  In 2008 people were made to evacuate this area due to flooding by the earthen Redlands Dam failure after heavy night rainfall. 2000 census estimates show population of nil people in this area.

Presently, the temperature of Supai is 50 degrees with 86 percent of humidity. Supai has one small air conditioned lodge, a café and a convenient store.
