Tourist Guide Tombstone

Tombstone can be referred to as a city located in ‘Cochise County, Arizona, US’. It was founded in the year 1879 by ‘Ed Schieffelin’ in ‘Arizona Territory’. In the year 1900, Tombstone was bound to become a ‘ghost town’ following decline of ‘silver mining’. However, it was saved from becoming so; thanks to attainment of status as Cochise County seat.

Even this county seat got shifted to Bisbee by ‘popular vote’. This happened in the year 1929. However, the typical ‘Cochise County Courthouse’, along with adjacent ‘gallows yard’ have been preserved in the form of a museum. The area on the whole as per US Census Bureau is 11.1 sq. Km. Summer would prove to be the best season to visit this place. The temperature in summer goes up to 34 degree Celsius. Annual precipitation comes out to be 13.9 inches. The population as per 2006 census was 1569. This place is known for many of its interesting historical facts.
