The Cathedral of St. Augustine was built in 1776 in Tucson, Arizona. Its construction was believed to have lasted 114 years, with its completion being in 1897.
This mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tucson was rebuilt several times. Designed beautifully in Mexican baroque, the historic building is worth visiting for its interior and exterior architectural art work.
Worth seeing are the handcrafted wood, the Pamplona Crucifix, the tile flooring, lighting and sound technology effects and many more sights.
