The Fort Lowell Museum, in Tucson, is a branch museum of the Arizona Historical Society and is situated in the reconstructed Commanding Officer’s quarters.
Its exhibits focus on the Arizona frontier military life. This museum is dedicated to the Fort Lowell’s days as an active military installation. The museum is housed in a fort that was long abandoned in 1891 post the surrendering of Geronimo and the end of the Indian wars.
The building is of a Mexican Sonoran style having thick adobe walls, hard packed dirt roofs and pine logs.
