Saguaro National Park comprises of two districts offer over 165 miles of hiking trails. The Tucson Mountain district and the Rincon Mountain district offer lots of outdoor activities. One can stroll on this short interpretive nature trail or opt for a day long wilderness trek. Both districts of this park offer many hiking trails. The park was made a national monument in 1933. This park protects the saguaro cacti other than desert vegetation of the Sonoran Desert. The best time to explore the park for a tourist is between the months of March and May, when the temperature is pleasant.
