An unusual, but popular, attraction of the city is the Yuma Territorial Prison which is now a historical museum by the name of Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park. Earlier, it was also the site of various football matches of the Yuma Union High School.
The Imperial National Wildlife Refuge is a scenic stretch which encompasses wetlands as well as deserts. An excellent place for recreational activities like hiking, boating and fishing, it also has an abundant plant and animal life.
Set amidst, lush, decorated gardens, the Century House Museum is sure to enthral visitors with its exhibitions of photographs and artefacts related to the bygone era. The scenic location and the interesting relics are a major attraction.
The Algodones Dunes is a huge sand dune area which is a favoured location for sand rail rides and motorcycle rides. Camping is the most preferred activity and as many as 200,000 people visit the place during winters.
