Ozark Folk Center
Ozark Fork center goes on to focus on history and arts of people of Ozark Mountain region. Musical concerts and craft demonstrations are presented on the regular basis. The main objective behind inception of Arkansas is preservation and presentation of Ozark tradition and cultural heritage to public. It boasts of maintaining one amongst nation’s biggest collections of folklore and music inclusive of 17000 folk, jazz, and country recordings, books, related material, etc. from ‘Stan French collection’. Such materials have been made available to genuine researchers at resource center of the park.
Events
Ozark Folk Center would be hosting Square Dance Workshops on 10th and 28th of February, 2009 at 19:00 hours. Those interested can actively be a part of these workshops. One who intends to dance on the floor can come down for 2 days.
Mountain Village 1890
Mountain Village 1890 can be described as one of the re-created pioneer villages with constructions moved over here from several sites all through Ozark mountain area.
