Benton is one of the cities located in Saline County, Arkansas, US. It is its county seat as well. This place, 1st settled in the year 1833, had been named after Thomas Hart Benton, the Missouri Senator. This process was officiated in the year 1836. It was the time when statehood was assigned to Arkansas.
