The Pontoon Bridge is known as the lost pontoon bridge and is over the
Arkansas River in Dardanelle. Once, this bridge was considered as the
longest pontoon bridge over the moving water. This amazing bridge
carried old military road, and was a major route between Fort Smith and
Little Rock. Moreover, it was owned by the Dardanelle and the
Russellville Road, but it is said that there were no trains which
crossed this bridge.
