Gravette Historical Museum
The ‘Gravette Historical Museum’ got chartered in the month of June in the year 1995. It was the time when city council went on to adopt ordinance number ’95-13’. This concept started in the year 1993 with Gravette Centennial Celebration. A constellation of citizens constructed scenes from towns past to get displayed on ‘Gravette Day’ that year. That event went on to initiate idea of museum for recording and displaying the history of Gravette. Volunteers had taken the responsibility of operating as well as maintaining this facility. In the year 1999, Gravette funded one of the part-time employees. In the month of September (same year), Kindley House was purchased for housing the museum. Kindley House had already been listed on National Register of Historic Places on 28th of January, 1988.
Old Town Park
This Park is well-treed as well as secluded. Having walking trails installed on it is on the agenda. A ‘public pool’ has been made available for being used during summer. There is also a civic center located in the vicinity to be used by public. Private events can be organized at these centers at nominal fees.
