The Hurricane River Cave, an ancient underground riverbed has the remains of prehistoric animals that can be seen.

The museums in Harrison also provide unique collection of antiques and artifacts. One such museum is the Boone County Historical Museum that features railroads, Indian artifacts and preserves the Civil War Memories.

The programs held at the museum are responsive and meaningful to the public. The places like Eureka Springs, Mountain Home, Springdale, Rogers, Fayetteville, Bentonville and Russellville are close to Harrison.

Eureka Springs is just about 37 miles towards the North West, Mountain Home is 42 miles towards the East and Springdale is around 57 miles towards the West.

These are the places in closest proximity; however the other places are over 60 miles away.

The locals celebrate the 4th of July with great pomp. The day begins with the local marching bands and parade.

The celebration features some family fun events and in the evening they have some good display of fireworks.
