The gross area of Heber Springs is 7 square miles and this is entirely occupied by land. The name of the city arises from a series of springs situated on the East side of the town on Main Street. The elevation of this city is 341 feet. Heber Springs is a very famous location for relocation and recreation. The greatest asset of this region is the natural surroundings along with the presence of a forty thousand acre crystal clear playground.
As per the 2000 census, the population of Heber Springs was 6,432.
During July and August, the average temperature reaches 90 degrees Fahrenheit and these are the hottest months. In Spring and Fall, the temperature ranges from 44 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. December, January and February are the coldest months with temperatures from freezing point to 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
