Little Rock National Airport, also named as Adams Field, is situated to the east of Little Rock city in Pulaski County in Arkansas.
It is the largest commercial service airport and has handled more than 21 million passengers in the year 2005.
There are no direct international passenger flights from this airport but there are more than 150 flights operating from here on a daily basis.
The airport is named in the honor of Captain George Geyer Adams and was the 1st airline to serve the city in 1931.
The airport covers a total area of two thousand acres and includes 3 runways and a helipad.
The airport has 12 gates and there are plans to reshape the new terminal in a Y-shape so as to include 8 more gates making it a total of 20 gates to serve the growing number of passengers.
