The ‘Morrilton Depot Museum’ is situated on ‘Railroad Avenue’. It remains open from 10:00 to 16:00 only on Fridays and Saturdays. If prior appointment is taken, it would be opened at other time as well. However, people need to come in groups in this case. The staff consists of volunteers. Many historical artifacts are found over here. A spinning wheel of ancient times sits with all its grace in a room. Watching age-old medical items would simply be fun to see! The main vestibule is adorned by an excellent piece of wood-work.
Petit Jean State Park
‘Petit Jean Mountain’ can be described as an exclusive place, known for ‘legend of Petit Jean’, i.e. the tale of a girl of French origin who went on to disguise herself as ‘guy’ and surreptitiously accompany her beloved to this heap. Petit Jean State Park, the 1st and the foremost flagship state park of Arkansas, has moved a step further by enhancing this 3 centuries old legend with enchanting woodlands equipped with wildflowers and streams, windswept views, and a magnificent waterfall (Cedar Falls).
