Tourist Guide Mountain Home

Mountain Home is the seat of Baxter County in Arkansas, USA. It lies within the Ozarks Mountain Range in the Salem Plateau region. The Ozark Regional Airport caters to the air needs of residents and there are no interstate highways that pass through Mountain Home.

The city lies in the centre of the scenic Twin Lakes area, with Lake Norfork to the east and Bull Shoals Lake to the west. Mountain Home also lies within 15 minutes of three rivers Buffalo National River, White River and North Fork River.

The city experiences a moderate climate throughout the year. Average temperatures in Mountain Home can range anywhere between –15°C to 22°C. 

Mountain Home has a population of more than 12,000 people according to a recent estimate. The city was incorporated in 1888 and is now more well-known as a retirement destination.
