The region has plenty of natural and historical attractions to visit. The Mountain Village showcases the rural Mountain Home of yesteryear and has authentic structures dating back to 1890.
The Top O’ The Ozarks Tower offers a fascinating view of the Bull Shoals Lake and the White River. Also, overlooking the White River is the nineteenth-century Wolf House, which has primitive antiques and is considered to be the oldest log structure in Arkansas.
Blanchard Springs Caverns is considered to be the jewel of the Ozark National Forest. This huge underground cavern has a spring that pours down the mountainside into a pond locally christened as Mirror Lake.
The Hurricane River Cave has remains of prehistoric bears and sabre-tooth tigers, but its primary spotlight is the 14 m waterfall at its entrance. The Bull Shoals Caverns were formed millions of years ago and were used by prehistoric natives and more recently soldiers during the Civil War.
