The Arkansas State in the United States consists of Franklin County wherein Ozark is a city. This city has been named Ozark after the mountain range Ozarks where it is located. The city is a section of the Fort Smith, Arkansas-Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area and is the 9th biggest municipality in the metro area. Ozark is one of the two county seats of Franklin County. The gross area of the city is 7.2 square miles out of which only 0.04 square miles is water and the remaining is occupied by land. The elevation of Ozark, Arkansas is 407 feet. Late show host Craig Ferguson is an honorary citizen of Ozark.

As per the 2000 census, the population of Ozark was 3,525.

July is the warmest month in Ozark with temperatures ranging from 70 to 92 degrees Fahrenheit. December and January are the coolest months which experience a temperature range of 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The maximum precipitation occurs in May which is 5.6 inches.
