Saline County is a United States county which is situated in the US State of Arkansas. Benton is its county seat and also the largest city in Arkansas. The county is even included in the Little-Rock-North Little Rock-Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Saline County was formed in 1835, and was named for the salt water springs in the area. Moreover, it is also an alcohol prohibition or rather regarded as Dry County.
The Saline County area has a total area of 730 square miles as per the 2000 Census. Out of this, 723 square miles is land and 7 square miles is water.
