Searcy is located in White County in Arkansas of United States.
The city was named after Richard Searcy who was a judge of the Superior Court of the Arkansas Territory. It is said that earlier the name of the place was White Sulphur springs, as there were hot springs were present in this city. People used to come to this place to take the medical benefits of the hot springs. Although the city went through many ups and downs from the economic point of view but now this place has regained its economic position.
There are various races in this place that includes majority of Whites, then African American and Asian. Some other races also do exist. With various races in this place Searcy reflect a mixed culture. The city is rich in cultural heritage and education is given more importance and that could be seen from various educational institutes and cultural centers.
The climate of this place is pleasant and can be visited at anytime of the year.
The population of this place comes to 18,928 according to 2000 census.
