During pioneer settlement, the biggest tall-grass prairie of Arkansas used to cover majority of counties (under it). In the beginning of the twentieth century, it got converted in to the country’s most productive region in terms of rice. Moreover, its ‘waterfowl hunting’ attained worldwide reputation. This museum depicts heritage of this town and the region around it. In all, the exhibits are inclusive of fish farming, rice milling, crop dusting, Waterfowl art, and antique ‘decoy collection’. This museum falls in the category of ‘agricultural museums’.
Timings: Museum of the Arkansas Prairie remains open from 8:00 to 16:00from Tuesdays to Fridays and from 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturday. It remains closed on Sundays, Mondays, Bank Holidays.
