Texarkana is located in Miller County in Arkansas, USA. The city, with a total area of 83 sq km, has a population of approximately 30,000 residents. One of the discoverers of this region was Hernando DeSoto, who came here in the sixteenth century.
The per capita income of the inhabitants is fairly high due to its thriving economy which is primarily dependent on tourism, services, manufacturing and agriculture. Due to the wide diversity in its landscape, comprising hills, lakes, rivers, fields, woodlands and so on, the city has turned into a tourism hub in Arkansas.
Texarkana experiences a moderate climate. Also, different places experience different weather as the city is located on the borders of Texas and Louisiana. However, the city has generally a pleasant climate twelve months a year. Thus, Texarkana is an excellent tourist destination.
