The White County Courthouse was completed in 1871 and remodeled in 1912. It is the oldest Arkansas courthouse is still being used for its original reason. At first, there was a first story which was entirely constructed of cut stone and the brick was used on the second floor. This circuit courtroom has been re-established to its original condition. There is also a large clock tower which has a bell built in 1855 and this resembles the Liberty Bell.
