The city of Bennington is situated in Bennington County in Vermont, USA. Located between the Taconic and Green Mountains, the town covers an area of 110 sq km and has a population of around 20,000.
The town is known for the Battle of Bennington, fought during the Revolutionary War. A 306-foot-high stone obelisk, known as the Bennington Battle Monument, commemorates the event and is the tallest structure in Vermont.
Summers are warm with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 14°C, while winters are cold with temperatures ranging from –1°C to –10°C.
