Catalina Island has long been known as the birthplace of big game fishing. There is provision of many fishing boats at Avalon for the visitors to indulge in some exciting fishing experience whilst they explore the town. Fishing is allowed on the Green Pleasure Pier, on the mole or even rent a skiff and explore the caves and reefs. The locals can also enjoy this sport.
