The Avalon Theater is situated in Avalon on Catalina Island off the coast of Los Angeles. This is a one movie screen theater and has a seating capacity of 1154 people. This entire structure was built in 1927 under the direction of William Wrigley Jr and David M Renton. The design was done by Walter Weber and Sumner A Spaulding. This was also the first theater ever to be designed for movies with sound. At the top level of the theater is a dance hall and on the first level, it has a movie theater.
