Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Garden
The Wrigley monument is dedicated to Mr. Wringley who has played an important role in the history of the Catalina Island and has brought about a lot of developments for all generations to enjoy. The memorial was built in 1933-34 making use of as many Catalina materials like native crushed stones.
The Botanical garden showcases plants from all covers of the earth with special focus on Catalina islands plants. The opening hours are daily from 8:00 to 17:00 all year long.
Catalina Island Museum
The museum is dedicated to the Island’s rich cultural heritage and the current exhibits include the romantic era of Catalina’s steamships, a large relief map of the island, Avalon’s evolution into a resort community, Catalina pottery and many more. Opening hours are every day from 10:00 to 16:00.
Annual Avalon Harbor Underwater Cleanup
This is an annual event in which the scuba divers dive in Avalon Harbor to clean up the trash and other items from the floor of the harbor. The only day for scuba divers to dive in the harbor.
