Barstow is a metropolis in San Bernardino County, California, United Sates. As per the 2000 census the population of the city was around 21,119. Barstow is the largest local transportation center. A number of highways together with Interstate 40 converge within the metropolis. Tourists can see the huge rail classification yard of BNSF Railway at Barstow. It is the closest metropolis to Fort Irwin Military Reservation. Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, the Marine Corps maintenance and supply installation of United sates is situated at Barstow, California. The city experiences four seasons. During the winter season the city experiences cold mornings and during the summer it is very hot. In the month of July the city experience a normal high temperature of 103 degrees and a low of seventy three degrees. Barstow owns a police department and a territorial station of San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to protect the unincorporated regions like Ludlow, Barker, Trona and Newberry Springs around the metropolis.
