This is one of the oldest homes in California which was built in the year 1818 by F.S. Lugo and A.M. Lugo. It was previously known as Casa de Rancho San Antonio and was built to qualify a former Spanish colonial soldier for a land grant. This adobe ranch home was given to Henry T. Gage as a wedding gift by his in laws. Henry T. Gage later became the governor of California. The mansion is now listed as a historical site.
