The Bixby Creek Bridge of Highway 1 is a favorite coastal bridge in California. This bridge is technically sound and was thoughtfully planned and well constructed. Moreover, it is socially purposeful and even symbolically significant to its travelers. This bridge was one of the largest single arch concrete bridges in the world when it got completed in 1932. It is 714 feet long and has a main span of 320 feet.
