Brawley is a city which is situated in Imperial County in California in USA. The town covers a total area of 5.8 square miles all of which consists of land. The elevation of the city is below sea level and it has the New and Alamo rivers which flow by the region. The city had a population of 22,052 as per the 2000 census. The main occupation of the people here is agriculture and it annually hosts the Cattle Call Rodeo. It was previously named as a ‘tent city’ when it was incorporated in 1908, however the city grew in size from the 1950s to the 1990s. A majority of the population was Latino and Mexicans but included East Indians, Whites, African Americans and Chinese later. Brawley has a hot and dry climate with 305 sunny days on an average per year. The town gets very little rain with 3 inches of rainfall annually and no snowfall.
