Calabasas is a big and esteemed city in the county of Los Angeles, California in the United States of America. This city is situated in the south western region of San Fernando Valley and it also consists of a small portion of Santa Monica Mountains. Calabasas is nearly 35 kilometers away from Los Angeles. According to the 2000 census the population in the city was found to be around 23,250. The population density when measured was 590.4 per square kilometer. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of about 34.1 square kilometer, out of which 33.3 square kilometer is covered by land and only 0.1 square kilometer is under water. The city has a cool climate with mild snowfall in the month of December. There is also a Hindu temple located in this region and is visited by many Hindus every day.
