Tourist Guide Carmel-by-the-Sea
Carmel-by-the-sea is a petite township in Monterey County, California, United Sates. This township is usually known as Carmel and is located in Monterey Peninsula. Carmel-by-the-sea is famous for its artistic history. As per the United Sates Census Bureau, the total land area of the township is about 1.1 square miles. The former city councils of Carmel were under the control of artists and there were numerous city managers like Clint Eastwood and Herbert Heron, originator of Forest Theatre. According to the 2000 census, the total population of Carmel was about 4081. In order to foster arts, a Crafts and Carmel Arts club was established at the Carmel Township in the year 1905. The Carmel Arts and Crafts Clubhouse, the first cultural theatre of the town was established during the period 1906-07. Carmel-by-sea is a dog friendly town and most of the hotels of the town permit dogs to hang about with the guests.
